Field Study
This past summer, I worked at a start-up VR company called The Glimpse Group. I worked on several projects related to VR, and one of them was to design UI elements for VR (Buttons and interfaces). Since I had a UI/UX and design background, I was confident about the project, but it was more challenging than expected. First, I had to consider the depth of the UI element. Second, I had to design a haptic. Since then, I always think about every detail of hand interaction.
Dream Study
Elevator
When I was young, I had an elevator phobia. I could not get on the elevator by myself. I always waited for someone or doorman to get on the elevator with me. Since then, I have dreamed about the elevator often. Even yesterday, I dreamed about the elevator. There are two types of elevator dreams. First, the elevator stops on the new floor, then it drops(Freefall) so fast like a drop tower. Second, Elevators move in all x,y, and z directions and drop me off at the Different world. I always loved the different worlds. Sometimes, I know that I am in my dreams and have fun. I often think about the meaning of these dreams. I think it represents my craving for a different world filled with my creativity and imagination.
